Former Scout leader slapped with further child sex charges

A former Scout leader has been slapped with several further child sex charges after two more men came forward to police.

In September, the 57-year-old man was  charged with 21 matters after officers launched an investigation into a  number of reported historical child sexual assaults.

Following this, investigators were provided with further information from two other men who alleged they were assaulted whilst on trips in various national parks around Sydney or at Mount Pritchard between 1987 and 1990.

About 9am on Wednesday 21 December, the former Scout leader was arrested at Lake Illawarra Police Station and taken into custody.

He was charged with gross indecency by male with male under 18 years (x 5).

He was granted bail to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday 8 February 2017.
