A former Sydney swim school instructor has been charged with an additional 47 sexual assault offences after being arrested last week.
The 43-year-old man was taken into custody outside a home in Sylvania last Wednesday, following an ongoing investigation into reports two men had been groomed and sexually assaulted while they were children at a former swim school in Padstow.
After launching further inquiries, detectives will allege in court that the man groomed and sexually abused a further nine boys on a number of occasions.

It’s understood the alleged assaults occurred between 1997 and 2009, when the boys were aged between eight and 16.
Police say it’s alleged the man was the boys’ swimming coach at the time of the incidents.
“Detectives will lay an additional 47 grooming, aggravated indecent assault and aggravated sexual assault offences against the 43-year-old man,” NSW police said in a statement on Thursday morning.
The man has been refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today.
Investigations are ongoing.
