Former teacher charged over sickening repeated abuse of 12yo student

A former teacher has been charged after a 12-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted over a five year period.

The 81-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after detectives launched an investigation into a number of incidents alleged to have occurred between 1964 and 1992 at a high school in Junee.

The man was taken to Junee Police station where he was charged with three counts of buggery.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Wagga Wagga local court today.

Detectives are urging anyone with information, including former students and teachers who may have been witness to or were in fact a victim of sexual assault to come forward.
