Former World Champ knocked out of Quiksilver Pro
Two-time world champion John John Florence has been knocked out of the Quiksilver Pro by wildcard entry, Mikey Wright.
Mikey, the brother of Owen and Tyler, shocked Snapper Rocks today with scores of 7.83 and 7.27 to knock out the Hawaiian.
Florence lost his first-round heat on Sunday and could only manage 5.83 and 4.93 against Wright today.
The upset continues the trend on the Gold Coast, with former world champions Steph Gilmore and Carissa Moore getting knocked out of the Roxy Pro.
Gabriel Medina managed to beat Leonardo Fioravanti this morning, the Brazillian recorded scores of 6.00 and 7.00 to blow Fioravanti out of the water.
