Fortnite gamer caught assaulting girlfriend on livestream sentenced
A fortnite player who was filmed assaulting his pregnant girlfriend on a live-streaming site has managed to avoid jail.
Luke James Munday appeared in Picton Local Court in NSW on Wednesday, where he was sentenced to a 14 month community corrections order.
It comes after the 29-year-old pleaded guilty to domestic violence-related common assault earlier this year.
In vision shared to social media at the time of the assault in December 2018, Mr Munday can be heard slapping his pregnant girlfriend after she asks him to stop playing on the computer to come and eat dinner with his family.
The couples two young girls, aged three and 20 months, were in the home at the time.
Shocked gamers who witnessed the incident then reported it to police, who launched an investigation.
