FOUND: A missing NSW mum is safe and well

A woman missing from Mudgee in the central west of NSW has been found.

The 42-year-old was reported missing on Friday when she failed to make contact with her loved ones after dropping her children off at school.

Police have confirmed, she was located about 11.40am on Saturday near Mudgee and is safe and well.

EARLIER: Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a woman from the NSW town of Mudgee.

Katherine Andrews (pictured) left her family home on Windeyer Road to drop her children at school about 8.30am on Friday.

Just before midday, the 42-year-old went to a business on Wilbertree Road, where she was last seen.

She drove off in a silver Holden Astra with registration plates AD-48-YC (similar to that pictured below).

Her family is concerned for her welfare as she has not made contact with them.

Ms Andrews is described as being Caucasian, of medium build, about 165cm tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

She was last seen wearing a blue, white and grey long-sleeved t-shirt and jeans.
