Four boys charged over violent Southport robbery
Four teenagers have been charged following a violent robbery in Southport on Monday night.
Police say three boys approached two men sitting outside a Nerang Street restaurant before an argument broke out shortly after 9pm.
It’s alleged one of the four threatened a 22-year-old man with a knife then glassed him and stole his phone.
The group also allegedly punched and kicked a 27 year old man before running off with a tablet computer and wallet.
The four boys – from Uppera Coomera, Surfers Paradise, Southport and Mermaid Waters – have been charged with various offences.
The 22-year-old man was taken to hospital with cuts to his head and hands while the 27-year-old was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
