Four hospitalised after separate crashes on the Gold Coast

FOUR people have been taken to hospital following two separate crashes on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics were first called to a two-vehicle crash at Oxenford just before 8.20pm last night.

The vehicles came to grief on Movieworld Access Road. Three people were assessed by paramedics at the scene before being transported to the Gold Coast’s University Hospital for treatment.

Then, just after 4.30am on Australia Day, a vehicle slammed into a parked truck on Sandalwood Terrace in Nerang.

The driver, aged in their 50s, was assessed by ambulance officers at the scene before they too were taken to the Gold Coast’s University hospital for treatment.

Queensland Ambulance said all four patients were transported in stable conditions.

Paramedics were also called to a car fire at Currumbin Waters just before 1AM, however, no-one was injured.
