UPDATE @ November 27: A teenage girl has died and three other people have been injured in a horror head-on crash in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
The fatal accident happened on Beaudesert-Nerang Road just before 4.00pm on Monday.
Police say preliminary information suggests a hatchback was travelling northbound when it collided with a ute heading in the opposite direction.

A station wagon that was also travelling northbound then collided with the hatchback.
The driver of the hatchback, an 18-year-old Beaudesert woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the ute, a 49-year-old man and his 15-year-old female passenger managed to escape with minor injuries, while the 30-year-old female driver of the station wagon also sustained minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
EARLIER @ November 26: Police are urging motorists to avoid Beaudesert Nerang Rd after a serious crash in the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Emergency services were called to Canungra just before 4pm after reports that three cars had collided near Canungra Creek.
Police were initially told that a number of people were still trapped inside the vehicles however all had been freed by the time fire crews arrived.
Paramedics assessed four patients, one of those critical, two in a serious condition and one stable.
No one has yet been transported to hospital.
Beaudesert Nerang Rd is closed in both directions and is expected to remain shut for some time.
