Thankfully he managed to escape with minor injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

Shortly after, paramedics were called to a crash in Mermaid Waters after two cars collided at the intersection of Markeri Street and Sunshine Boulevard.

Four people were treated at the scene.

One person was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital, another was transported to Pindara Private Hospital, while a third motorist was taken to Robina Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed the trio were all transported in a stable condition.
