Four injured, two seriously, in Darling Downs crash

TWO people have been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after the car they were in left the road and ploughed through a line of trees on the Darling Downs.

The accident occurred on the Dalby Cecil Plains Road at Cecil Plains around 9.50pm on Saturday.

Police said four people were travelling in the sedan when it lost control and struck several trees.


Two passengers, an 18-year-old male and a 24-year-old female, were both airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

The 24-year-old man who was behind the wheel of the car and a third passenger, a 16-year-old girl, escaped with minor injuries.

They were treated by paramedics at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
