Four locals charged after Gold Coast drug bust

Four Gold Coast locals have been arrested and charged, after police allegedly located a significant amount of drugs and cash at an apartment in Surfers Paradise.

Gold Coast detectives executed a search warrant on Ferny Avenue around 3pm yesterday.

They’ve allegedly located around 35 grams of ICE and 1.5 litres of Fantasy, as well as cannabis, cash and other items of interest.


The estimated value of the items total over $26,000.

Four people were immediately arrested at the scene: a 19-yea-old woman from Miami, a 43-year-old man from Mermaid Waters, a 43-year-old woman from Parkwood, and an 18-year-old woman from Surfers Paradise.

They’ve each been charged with possessing dangerous drugs, amongst various other charges (listed in full below).

They’ll front court later this month.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith of the Gold Coast’s Criminal Investigation Branch said; “This kind of action continues to demonstrate our commitment to disrupt those who supply dangerous drugs.”

Investigations are continuing.

A 19-year-old Miami woman has been charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of possessing drug utensils.

A 43-year-old Mermaid Waters man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and failing to properly dispose of a needle.

An 18-year-old Parkwood woman was charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils.

An 18-year-old Surfers Paradise woman was charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime and possessing drug utensils.
