FOUR men have been charged over the alleged assault of a ridesharing driver in Sydney yesterday.
About 3.30pm, a 28-year-old man was called to Hinkler Avenue at Caringbah where he collected a group of men.
Police said the driver stopped a short time later after becoming concerned about the behaviour of the passengers.

After asking the group to leave, it’s alleged the driver was pushed to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked in the head.
Passing motorists pulled up near the group and ran to the driver’s aid, however one of the males repeatedly kicked a woman’s car when he noticed her taking photos.
Police rushed to the scene and stopped the group as they were attempting to leave in a passing taxi.
All four men – aged 22, 20 and two aged 21 – were arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station where they were charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and affray.
The 20-year-old was also charged with malicious damage.
They were all granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 19 April.
