Four men injured in Surfers Paradise brawl, two others arrested

Two men have been charged over an alleged assault in Surfers Paradise overnight, that saw four people suffer various injuries.

Police were called to Orchid Avenue around 3.00 am following reports that six men had become involved in a brawl.

“During the incident four men aged 21, 24, 23 and 18 were injured with one of the men being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment to injuries,” a police spokesperson told myGC.

“The three men not taken to hospital received varying facial injuries.”

Two people have already been charged but investigations are continuing this morning.

A 23-year-old man will front court later this month on three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

While a 21-year-old man has been charged with one count each of public nuisance and possession of a dangerous drug.

Investigations are continuing.
