Four people escape burning home in Sydney’s north-west

Police are investigating the cause of a fire which ripped through a house in Sydney’s north-west overnight, causing extensive damage.

Emergency services were called to the single storey home on Hannah Bellamy Place in West Pennant Hills shortly after 1am.

Officers arrived to find the house well alight.


Four people escaped the building, with all checked by paramedics for signs of smoke inhalation.

Three people were evacuated from adjoining properties as a precaution while fire fighters worked to contain the blaze.

The home sustained extensive damage.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
