Four teens in custody over alleged stolen car chase Gold Coast

UPDATE @ 9.00 AM | Two teens have been charged over an alleged stolen car chase on the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon.

The pair of 17-year-old’s were arrested along with two others in Labrador just after 3.00 pm, following an hour-long police chase involving PolAir.

It’s understood a stolen Audi hatchback was first spotted along the Esplanade in Paradise Point around 2.00 pm.

The group were arrested once the car finally came to a stop.

Two 17-year-old males have now been charged with multiple offences.

One has been charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The other has been charged with burglary and commit an indictable offence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and Driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence Never held a licence.

Both have been refused police bail and are to appear in court.

Police are still investigating.

EARLIER @ 6.00 AM | Charges are yet to be laid after four juveniles were arrested following a lengthy police chase on the Gold Coast yesterday.

A stolen Audi hatchback was spotted along the Esplanade in Paradise Point around 2.00 pm before police tracked through around the area and to Labrador.

PolAir was also called in to assist, finally tracking and stopping the car along Kingsley Street in Labrador over an hour later.

Four teens were taken into custody at the scene, including a 17-year-old.

Police are yet to confirm if any charges have been laid.

Luckily, no injuries were reported.
