RESIDENTS displaced by flooding south of the border can use shower facilities at the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre, free of charge.
Facilities at Murwillumbah, Kingscliff and South Tweed Heads have been opened to residents who have been unable to return to their homes and are in need of hot showers.
Supervisor of the Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre Glenn Nott said the service would continue until further notice.

“Obviously as the days go by people are returning to their homes and there is less of a need for them to visit TRAC facilities,” Mr Nott said.
“We do understand however that some people may be in difficult positions and we will do what we can to help for however long is required.”
Mr Nott said anyone who has missed learn-to-swim classes or other lessons due to the floods will be fully compensated.
