As we hit mid-January, Gold Coast parents have begun to run dry on fresh ideas to keep the kids busy these school holidays.
Not to worry though, because Harbour Town is bringing two weeks of free entertainment for the whole family with its Hit the Beach campaign.
Beginning on 13 January and running until 25 January, shoppers will have the chance to watch a world-champion sand sculptor create a handmade masterpiece, get involved in sculpting lessons, participate in Surf Lifesaving Fun clinics and listen to fascinating marine-life adventures from the Sea World Marine Research and Rescue team.

For those feeling inspired and wanting to get their hands dirty, sand master Dennis Massoud will teach the kids the art of sculpting until Friday at 11.00am, 12.00pm and 1,00pm daily.
Also on the holiday agenda is a series of lessons run by Surf Lifesaving Queensland, where children can gain invaluable knowledge about the ocean and join in on plenty of games, with prizes up for grabs from 20-23 January.
Children with a curiosity for the ocean’s magical marine-life will love hearing from Sea World Marine Rescue on 24 and 25 January, where they will learn everything from how to remove a hook from a shark, what happens during a whale rescue, whether sharks like to socialise and much more.
Bookings for sand sculpting lessons and Surf Life Saving fun clinics are essential. Call 5561 5704 or visit the customer service lounge in centre to reserve your spot.
