WE’RE being told we could see a light frost on the Gold Coast tomorrow, with morning temperatures forecast to plummet to near freezing-point in parts of the city.
It’ll be icy in Nerang where residents are expected to wake to just 2C on Sunday, and again on Monday.
It could fall even further in the hinterland, with places like Canungra bracing for zero and below.

It’ll be slightly warmer in Surfers Paradise, however, with temps along the tourist strip tipped to get as low as 7C.
The long-term average minimum temperature for the month of July on the Gold Coast is 12C.
But, while the sun will be out, the mercury will struggle to climb above 20C with high’s of just 18 and 19 forecast.
The cooler starts are set to stick around with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting morning temperatures to remain below 10C right across the Coast for at least the next week.
The clear, crisp mornings will pave the way for picture-perfect days, with highs to remain in the low 20s from Monday.
Sea temperatures, however, will remain in the low 20s, making it warmer in the water in the mornings.
