Gamblers caught by surprise as cops storm illegal casino [video]

POLICE have stormed a suspected illegal casino in the heart of Brisbane and detained 21 people.

Officers from the State Crime Command’s Major and Organised Crime Squad raided a West End apartment on Friday night.

Police said the residential property had been fitted out with poker tables and gaming equipment.

Police today released body-cam vision of the moment officers burst into the apartment around 9pm and found 21 people inside. See it below.

They were detained while officers searched the premises and seized gaming equipment, cash, poker chips, and phones.

A 38-year-old man was allegedly found with cocaine and issued with a Notice to Appear in court.

No charges have yet been laid in relation to the suspected illegal casino.

Investigations are continuing with detectives appealing for anyone with information regarding illegal gaming activity in Queensland to come forward.
