Game of Thrones has set a new Emmy record

Game Of Thrones has racked up an impressive number of Emmy Awards since it’s 2011 debut, but never as many as this year.

The popular HBO series took home 12 Emmy’s this year, which is the most Emmys ever won by a series in a single year.

The previous record was held by The West Wing, which won 9 Emmy Awards in 2002.
