Gatecrashers arrested at 16th in Sydney’s south

A party’s been gatecrashed in Sydney’s south overnight.

Police were called to a hall on Queens Road, Hurtsville at around 9:10pm on Friday night after about 20 to 30 teenage gatecrashers turned up at a 16th birthday party.

Fights broke out, with one gatecrasher pulling out a knife and assaulting a 17-year-old male partygoer with the weapon, scratching him on his elbow.

About five cars in the car park were also damaged by the group, before police showed up.

Three teenagers were arrested, including two males who were given Criminal Infringement Notices for offensive behaviour, while another was driven home because he was intoxicated.

The male who sustained the elbow injury was treated on scene by Ambulance Paramedics. Another male who stood on glass was also treated.

Police will be reviewing CCTV vision.

The male who produced the knife has been described as Pacific Islander appearance, aged in his teens, with a lanky build, and he was wearing a ‘G-Star’ brand hooded jumper, a green bomber jacket, beige coloured chinos, and a green hat.
