GC community to bounce it out in memory of Tialeigh Palmer

The tragic and shocking death of 12-year-old Tialeigh Palmer has encouraged the Gold Coast community to come together for a basketball tournament to raise funds for the family of the murdered school girl.

Tiahleigh, 12, was last seen alive at around 8.10am on October 30 when her foster carer dropped her off at Marsden State High School. Her body was discovered on the banks of a the Pimpama River six days later.

An investigation into Tialeigh’s death is continuing with police desperately appealing for dash cam footage.

As a way to pay tribute to Tialeigh, two Gold Coast businesses (Man Vs Burger and Empire Barbers Coomera) have teamed up to hold a fundraiser.

On the 5th of December at Vinney Park, Coomera, a 3-on-3 Basketball tournament will be held for locals wishing to show their support.

A registration fee of $70 is required on the day, with the winning team taking home a prize of $500.

The event is a great opportunity for families to gather and pay their respects to Tialeigh who was tragically taken far too soon.

A range of stalls, a jumping castle, petting zoo, kids activities, face painting, prize raffles, entertainment, food and more will be available on the day, with all profits going straight to Tialeigh’s family.
