A Gold Coast delivery driver on his way to work has been busted driving more than five times over the legal alcohol limit.
The 42-year-old man was pulled over during a random breath test on Salerno Street at Isle of Capri at 6.30pm on Tuesday, shocking officers with a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.267.
Police have labelled the incident as a “senseless and selfish act” with the high reading something expected from people after a night out.

The man is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on November 24, on charges of high range drink-driving.
