Gold Coast family support services have secured over $1 million in funding from the Queensland Government for the next five years.
The Palaszczuk Government will provide ongoing financial help to Act for Kids and the Nerang Neighbourhood Centre.
Communities Minister Shannon Fentiman said the funding helps provide clarity to employers.

“Longer contracts provide greater certainty and allow organisations to plan ahead and assists with recruiting staff who want job security,” she said.
“It ensures they can get on with the incredible work they do on the Gold Coast and right across Queensland.
“The Nerang hub brings together Child Safety staff and specialist support workers in a Joint Response Team, and Act for Kids is an integral part of protecting some of our most vulnerable children.”
The minister said her priority is to make sure vital organisations have the resources to run programs and support services for the local community.
The government will also support assisted living programs for young people on the Coast.
