Australian golfer Marc Leishman has revealed Gold Coaster Adam Scott as the inspiration behind his sensational 2017 US PGA Tour season.
Leishman said he was driven by watching his close mate, Scott, claim his maiden major title at the Masters in 2013 at the age of 32.
At the ripe age of 33, Marc Leishman has had his most successful year on the PGA tour winning the BMW Championship on Sunday and the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

He’s also recorded seven top-10 finishes on his way to a career-high world ranking of No. 15.
The Victorian golfer has put himself into a strong position to be the first Aussie to win the FedEx Cup bonus of $US10 million at the Tour Championship this week.

The Tour Championship will be held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta and features the 30 best players of the year, as determined by FedEx cup points earned this season.
Americans Rickie Fowler and Jordan Speith are tipped as favourites for the event which starts on Thursday.
