GC man charged after drug raid at Tallai

A Gold Coast man has been charged with drugs and weapons offences after detectives from the Southern Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch executed a search warrant at a Tallai property on Sunday.

Around 10.25am police attended the address and it will be alleged they found firearms, cash, chemicals and equipment associated with drug production.

The Illicit Laboratory Investigation Team attended the location to remove the items.


A 38-year-old Tallai man has been charged with one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, four counts of unlawful possession of weapons, one count of possess utensils and one count of possess unauthorised and prohibited explosives.

The man was denied police bail and was remanded in custody to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

Investigations are continuing.
