GC man who kicked puppy sentenced to community service

A Gold Coast man has been sentenced to 200 hours community service after he was caught kicking and throwing his two-year-old pit bull.

The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to the horrifying animal cruelty which occurred in a Broadbeach park earlier this year.

He was today ordered to participate in 200 hours of community service and banned from owning a dog for two years.

The dog has since been seized and is currently at a Gold Coast pound waiting to be rehomed.
