Gold Coast motorists are being urged to fill up now with some petrol prices across south east Queensland close to wholesale.
RACQ said that on Wednesday, the average price of unleaded petrol had fallen to 126.5 cents per litre, while the wholesale price retailers paid was 123.6cpl.
“Prices are cheap across much of the south east – petrol in Brisbane has dropped by as much as 5cpl in the past few days alone,” RACQ spokesperson Lucinda Ross said.

“Motorists in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Ipswich and Moreton Bay should fill the tank today while there’s still cheap fuel around – aim for a fair fuel price of 126cpl or less for ULP.”
