GC police officer charged over drug possession

A FORMER Gold Coast police officer has today pleaded guilty to drug possession in Brisbane Magistrates Court.

Peter Ashley Betts has been fined $600 for the possession of steroids and MDMA.

The 48-year-old resigned from the Queensland Police Service and was charged in late October after an investigation by the state’s corruption watchdog.
