Only five schoolies were arrested on the same night in 2018.
Last night there were also 14 non-schoolies arrested on 26 charges relating to public nuisance, general traffic matters, breaching bail and other offences.
Police say the arrest numbers overall are still good given the large numbers of people in the party district this week.
Though police continue to remind school leavers to act responsibly.
