GC Tourist Park takes top honour

The Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park has been awarded the best family holiday park in Queensland for the second year in a row.

Broadwater Tourist Park, Kirra Beach Tourist Park and Jacobs-Well Tourist park were also included in the Holidays With Kids travel magazine top 10 Tourist Parks.

Gold Coast Councillor Daphne McDonald told MyGC the parks are crucial to our economy.

“Over the past 12 months, the tourist parks have generated $70 million for the Gold Coast,” she said.

“Tourism is very important here, it injects a considerable amount of money but it also raises awareness of how great the Gold Coast is.”

Tallebudgera Tourist park had nearly 40,000 guests this year, with numbers expected to rise during the Christmas and New Year period.

There’s been a large spike in tourists during the last few months and Cr McDonald said southern parts of the Coast are a great destination for families.
