Motorists travelling on the Pacific Motorway this afternoon are being warned of lengthy delays following a spate of crashes.
The first accident happened southbound at Helensvale, near Exit 60, around 11.00am on Wednesday.
Three people were assessed at the scene by paramedics, however just one person required transport to hospital.

The male, whose age is not known, was taken to the Gold Coast Univeristy Hospital in a stable condition.
Just moments, later several vehicles also collided southbound at Coomera, only adding to the delays.
Traffic is still banked up back to Yatala, with motorists being urged to allow for extra travel time if planning on travelling southbound.
Meantime, delays are also starting to build northbound following a crash near Exit 89 a short time ago.
Emergency crews are on scene, however it’s not known at this stage if anyone has been injured.
Traffic is currently at a standstill from Currumbin to Reedy Creek.
