He may be originally from Canada, but singer/songwriter RY has certainly settled into life on the Gold Coast.
After spending the last few years entertaining the world aboard P&O cruise ships, Ry decided he wanted to move to the glitter strip and work further on his craft. Speaking to 1029 Hot Tomato’s Scoot on Gold Coast Uncovered tonight, RY said: “I just fell in love with Australia that I had to move here.”
With a sound like Ed Sheeran, mixed with James Bay and Jeff Buckley, it’s not surprising that in just a few shorts months, the talented 23-year-old has landed a management deal, completed his first national tour and scored regular gigs at venues across southeast Queensland.
