Adam Scott heads into the weekend in a strong position at the Australian PGA Championship at Royal Pines.
The Gold Coaster made four birdies on the back nine to card a second round 68, eight-under par and within striking distance of the leaders.
Queensland’s Andrew Dodt reclaimed the lead in the afternoon session, from Ashley Hall.

Dodt fired a five-under 67 putting himself three shots ahead of the Victorian at 12-under at the halfway mark.
World No. 7 Scott is tied with New Zealand’s Ryan Fox in third place after playing what he said was his best round of the summer.
“It was a good day to do it because it wasn’t that easy,” he said.
“My striking was crisp at the ball, it was strong.
“I started driving the ball properly and it carried onto the rest of my game as well.”
