Grieving fans have been mourning the death of pop icon George Michael, but British charities have today revealed the pop star was a major behind-the-scenes donor who gave his time and money to support cherished causes.
The man with the reputation for self-indulgence gave millions to charities involved with helping children, cancer victims and AIDS sufferers, but insisted on keeping this work out of the spotlight.
A woman on 'Deal Or No Deal' told us she needed £15k for IVF treatment. George Michael secretly phoned the next day and gave her the £15k.
