Get a taste of hot holiday destinations at The Star Gold Coast this Summer

Gold Coasters won’t need a passport to enjoy the exotic Caribbean, chic French Riviera or effortlessly cool Palm Springs this Summer!

The Star Gold Coast is bringing these hot destinations to locals, with The Lawn at Garden Kitchen & Bar to be transformed into a jet-setting party precinct over the coming months.

The first plane off the tarmac delivers Caribbean vibes with The Lawn morphing into a tropical paradise when the sun goes down every Thursday to Sunday, from today until 13 December.

There’s an array of Caribbean-inspired food to enjoy from The Lawn’s Container Kitchen including Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Mini Cuban Sandwiches, Kingston School Prawns, Charred Corn with chimichurri and Bajan-Spiced Empanadas, while bar staff have whipped up on-theme Bacardi rum-based tropical cocktails.

Entry is free and features a line-up of festive entertainment including live DJ sets, reggae musicians, roving Caribbean-inspired entertainers, Samba dancers and Capoeira acrobatic shows.

The calypso vibe will be swapped out for European style with The Lawn to channel the French Riviera from 17 December 2020 to 17 January 2021.

Unwind in stylish Moët champagne lounges and come to life with hot European-inspired DJ sets and ice-cold Grey Goose cocktails.

Finally, because it’s been a long time between music festivals, The Star will bring a Coachella mood to The Lawn for its final, Palm Springs-themed party from 21 January to 28 February.

Quench your thirst with a Gordon’s Pink Gin cocktail and quell your hunger with a menu of wholesome and healthy Cali-Mex dishes and appease your appetite for live music with a festival-sized line-up of live acts.

The Star Gold Coast Chief Operating Officer Jess Mellor said while international travel is off the cards, Garden Kitchen & Bar is bringing dream holiday destinations to the Gold Coast.

“In true summer style, we’re kicking off the weekend early and starting the party every Thursday evening with custom cocktails, a delicious $5 food menu, a DJ and colourful roving entertainers,” she said.

“The fun continues until late on Friday and Saturday nights and we’ll make sure everyone ends the weekend on a high with a laidback Sunday afternoon session from 3pm.”
