Getting dirty for a good cause

GOLD COASTERS are rolling up their sleeves and getting dirty this morning, as part of the Coast’s biggest ever community tree planting.

Volunteers from across the city will flock to the Nerang Country Paradise Parklands to plant a bunch of trees from dawn to dusk.

More than 12,000 plants will be planted in one day.

Mayor Tom Tate and Mayoress RUTH TATE will join Nerang River Keepers Bushcare Group, Gold Coast Ctachment Association and volunteers to restor the local waterway.

The’ll be at the Parklands from 10:30am and locals are more than welcome to head down and check out the action.
