Giant alligator is the ‘mascot’ of a US golf course

Usually when you’re playing golf, your main objective is to stay on par or get under par.

But when teeing off at the Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Florida your thoughts may lay more with ensuring you don’t lose a limb.

The course is home to a giant alligator who enjoys roaming the fairways, but apparently isn’t interested in those putting on the greens around him.

Golfer Charlie Helms recently saw the big guy up close and video of his encounter has now been viewed more than 3.5million times.

The Washington Post reports, the ‘gator’ is actually somewhat of an attraction and brings spectators to the course.
