Monster Tiger Shark reportedly pulled from waters off Tweed Coast

Images of what appears to be an enormous Tiger shark have surfaced online with reports the monster shark was caught in waters off the Tweed Coast.

The photos posted to Facebook by Byron Bay local Geoff Brooks, show a 5m shark, allegedly caught by a drum line off Nine Mile Reef on the Tweed Coast, which has been described by divers as a ‘sharky spot’.

Brooks captioned the images with –  “Yes, it’s real” and said he believed the Tiger shark was caught “three or four days” ago.

There have been a spike in shark sightings and attacks along the coastline in recent weeks.
