Girl, 14, ‘grabbed and indecently assaulted’ in violent sex attack

POLICE are investigating the alleged aggravated indecent assault of a 14-year-old girl on Sydney’s lower North Shore.

The young girl was allegedly accosted by a man while walking along Hodgson Avenue at Cremorne Point around 7pm on Wednesday.

Police said the man allegedly grabbed the teen as she turned into Kareela Lane and allegedly indecently assaulted her.


The girl called police and detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad are now investigating and searching for the man.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance and about 185cm-195cm tall with a slim build, short blond hair, and unshaven brown facial hair.

Police said the man also had ‘sores on his face’, and had a scar above his eyebrow.

He is said to have been wearing a black-coloured t-shirt, dark-blue coloured skinny jeans and Adidas shoes at the time of the alleged attack on Wednesday evening.

Anyone with any information that could assist detectives with their investigation is urged to come forward.
