Teen fighting for life after bashing on Qld street – woman and girl charged

UPDATE @ October 11, 7.00am: A GIRL and woman have been charged over the alleged bashing of a 15-year-old girl on a street in Warwick.

Initial investigations suggest the young girl was set upon on Percy Street, whilst walking home from a party around 2.00am Tuesday.

She was rushed to the Warwick Base Hospital where she received treatment before being airlifted to a hospital in Brisbane.

Police say the teen is being treated for life-threatening injuries and remains in a serious condition.

A 16-year-old Warwick girl has since been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and grievous bodily harm.

An 18-year-old Wilsonton woman has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

EARLIER @ October 10, 2.15pm: A 15-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being bashed by a group of people on a street in Warwick early this morning.

Police said initial investigations suggest the young girl was set upon on Percy Street around 2.00am.

She was rushed to the Warwick Base Hospital where she received treatment before being airlifted to a hospital in Brisbane.

Police say the teen is being treated for life-threatening injuries and remains in a serious condition.
