Girl, 2, in serious condition after being run over in hotel car park

A child has sustained serious injuries after she was run over in the car park of a hotel in Matraville.

The incident happened about 3pm Monday 23 November 2015, in the premises on Perry Street Matraville.

Police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command have been told a 42-year-old man was driving his Hilux 4WD utility at low speed out of the car park when he struck a two-year-old girl as she ran from behind another vehicle.


It’s believed the child had been playing in the car park at the time.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called to the scene and the child was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital suffering serious abdominal injuries.

The driver returned a negative breath test at the scene; he’s has been taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
