Girl, 6, attacked by dog at NSW primary school

A SIX-year-old girl has been bitten on the face by a German Shepard at a primary school in Sydney’s west.

The girl was reportedly bitten on the face at St Andrews Public School shortly after 3pm yesterday.

She was taken to the Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition for treatment to puncture wounds on her cheeks.

It’s understood the large dog was on a leash with its owner when the girl was bitten.

Police are now investigating the incident, with the assistance of the local council.
