Girl flees in terror after being ‘attacked’ by clowns as creepy craze returns

POLICE are hunting three ‘clowns’ who allegedly chased and scratched a teenage girl as she got off a bus in Perth.

The incident reportedly happened at a bus stop in Baldivis, in the city’s south, around 7.15pm on Saturday.

Police have been told a car pulled up behind the girl after she stepped off the bus and it drove away.

Three people dressed as clowns allegedly got out of the vehicle and started walking towards her.

Terrified, the girl tried running away but the ‘clowns’ gave chase and quickly caught up.

One of the ‘clowns’ allegedly scratched the girl on the neck as it went to grab her on the shoulder.

She hastily pulled away and ran to a nearby intersection where she sought help and called police.

It comes after the administrators of the Clown Purge Australia Facebook Page announced clowns would be popping up in suburbs across Perth on Saturday nigh to coincide with the release of the new horror movie, ‘IT’.

Police are urging people not to take part in the craze, warning the ‘clowns’ risked causing a serious incident.
