Girl indecently assaulted by man while walking home from school

Police are appealing for information after a student was indecently assaulted in Sydney’s West yesterday

Just after 1.50pm Wednesday 2 December, a 17-year-old girl left school and was walking home along Dunheved Road at Werrington when she was approached by a man.

Police have been told the man asked for directions before indecently assaulting the student.

She fled and reported the incident to a parent, who contacted police.

Officers attached to St Marys Local Area Command are investigating the incident and would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 35-40 years old, about 175cm to 180cm tall, with short brown hair.

The man was seen wearing a grey t-shirt and pants.
