UPDATE: A MACKEREL fish, not a shark, could be behind injuries suffered by a young girl at a beach south of the Tweed.
10-year-old was initially thought to have been bitten by a shark while surfing with her brother at Lennox Head yesterday afternoon.
She suffered cuts to her arm and was rushed to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment.
