Girl slashed, boy bashed in savage street attack

A TEENAGE girl has been taken to hospital after being slashed multiple times in a savage attack on a Sydney street.

The 15-year-old was found with lacerations to her legs and across the back of her head following the violent incident at Willoughby, on the city’s Lower North Shore, on Friday night.

It’s understood the girl was with a 16-year-old boy when the pair became involved in an altercation with another male and female on Willoughby Road about 10.50pm.

Police said the girl was viciously assaulted and boy punched in the head in the attack, before the offenders fled with the boy’s phone.

The girl was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Randwick Children’s Hospital, where she remained in a stable condition on Saturday morning.

Police are still investigating the incident and are yet to make an arrest.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or have information which may assist detectives is urged to come forward.
