Glory secure place in A-League semi final
Perth Glory are just one win away from an A-League grand final after taking down Melbourne City 2-0 in their elimination final on Sunday night.
It’s the first final the club has won a final in five years.
Perth were last in a A-League grand final back in 2012.
They’ll now face the premiers and red hot favourites to claim the title, Sydney FC, in a semi- final in Sydney on Saturday night.
It won’t be an easy feat for the Glory. The side has lost all three encounters with the Sky Blues this season by a margin of three goals.
City star Tim Cahill admitted he was left shattered by the side’s early exit from the A-League finals, after a completely lacklustre performance.
Cahill confessed to being dumbstruck by the defeat because the club had the talent to win, and says the team could have given a lot more.
