Gold Coast Airport welcomes new Boeing 787 service

THE Gold Coast Airport is today celebrating a major milestone following the commencement of a new Boeing 787 service.

Jetstar’s 787 Dreamliner left the Gold Coast this morning for its inaugural service to Tokyo, replacing the A330-200 aircraft.

The passenger jet is capable of carrying 335 people, as opposed to 303 passengers on the previous service.
